Title: Simple Flat Ribbons
Skill Level: Beginner

Open a new page, 1500 x 2100 (this is
being made at a large resolution for print projects but can be scaled
down for digital use). Draw a
rectangle 375 x 2000 pixels. |
With rectangle selected, hit Ctrl
F and choose a fill for your ribbon. I prefer textures but a
color or gradient fill can also be very pretty. I have chosen a
floral fill for this ribbon under the natural texture tab. |
From your Easy Pallette choose the Painting
Gallery. Double click Fabric to apply a fabric texture
to your ribbon. |
Click on the Pick tool and change the
Transparency of your ribbon to 12. |
Click on the Paintbrush and choose the
Ribbon preset and set the Shape to 20 and the Soft Edge
to 50. Right click the color
box and choose the eyedropper. Click on a darker color from the
ribbon.
Click Shift P (paint on edge) to put an edge on your
ribbon. |
Your ribbon is now ready to use! These are the basics, but you can
experiment with any of the steps to create the perfect ribbon for any
project you're working on! |
